October 21, 2013: With an objective of grabbing attention from customers just few days after launch of TSI variant in Indian car market. German car maker Volkswagen has launched one more variant of Vento codenamed as Corporate Edition, offering Edition Pack worth Rs. 40,000 on purchase of this model. As far as mechanical changes are concerned Volkswagen has carried the same petrol and diesel engine that exist in on-going models.

However it is blessed with various impressive features including mud flaps, trunk spoiler, door protector, navigation spoiler, rear view camera, alloy wheels, window chrome, and seat covers.

Volkswagen Vento TSI with price tag of Rs. 9.99 Lakh

October 10, 2013: To delight customers during festive season German car maker Volkswagen has launched Volkswagen Vento TSI in Indian auto market at price of Rs. 9.99 lakh. To this new Vento TSI Volkswagen has powered with 1.2 litre turbocharged direct injection petrol engine with seven speed clutch automatic transmission system.

The engine of new Vento TSI is capable of generating power of 105 bhp and torque of 175 Nm and will give an average of 16.93 kmpl.

Volkswagen Vento based Compact Sedan on cards

09 March, 2013: The PQ25 platform which has given birth to Polo and Vento sedan is likely to spawn a new range of car with new body styles. One of these new vehicles is going to be Vento Compact Sedan; the present version of Vento will get chopped to be carved to end up with a small boot and benefits from the excise duty with sub 4 meter length.

The spec details of Volkswagen Vento compact sedan remains hazy but a 1.2 Liter TSI turbo petrol engine and the 1.5 Liter TDI turbo diesel engine can be seen powering the Vento based compact sedan to cash in the excise benefits. The launch is expected to happen in 2014.

The engine is mated with 5-speed manual gearbox while there is also an automatic version that has a 6-speed automatic Tiptronic shifter. Coming to the diesel variant, it comes powered by a 1.6 liter TDi engine producing top power of 105 PS and peak torque of 250Nm at 1500-2500rpm.

The TDi is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission.
