Metro-North Train Derailment Remembered Fondly

NEW YORK – Several vigils were Monday to remember the four … in the Metro-North train Sunday morning.

The Metropolitan Authority identified the victims as Donna L. Smith, 54, of Newburgh; G. Lovell, 58, of Cold Spring; M. Ferrari, 59, of Montrose; and Kisook 35, of Queens.

As CBS 2’s Jessica Schneider a community prayer vigil was Monday evening in Riverdale the Spuyten Duyvil station, which is the site of the derailment .

Lovell said he did not want his to be labeled as the “victim” of an accident.

“I want to say that my dad was not a victim. I want him to be known as a victim. Jim was so much more than a victim. He was a loving father, dad, best friend, great coworker #8212; always had a smile on his face; had anything bad to say about anyone; one of the people you could have met,” Finn Lovell “I just want to say that I am so and blessed that I was able to him my father.”
