Citroen C2

Citroen C2

is a dynamic 3-door supermini with top-level equipment, modularity and engines.

A car with character

Citroen C2 is a car that brings dynamic performance to mind with its striking style and strong personality. Its design lines play on visual appeal and on the break created by the recessed side rear windows.

At the rear, the C2 gains new lights that work with the volume of the wheel arches and the deep-chinned bumper to give the rear end an elegant, well-balanced appearance.

Inside, like the C3 and C3 Pluriel, Citroen C2 gains a new dashboard to enhance the looks of the cabin. Two new leather and leather/fabric trim options, also give the interior design a more sophisticated look.

Ingenious and practical

Looking beyond styling, Citroen C2 heralds an innovative concept in modular interior design and boot access. The rear independent sliding seats can be toppled forward easily in order to adapt boot space as required.

High standards of onboard comfort make Citroen C2 VTS a great car for everyday use. Like the C3, Citroen C2 boasts a range of equipment previously available only on vehicles from higher segments. These include: cruise control, now with a speed limiter, with the selected mode and speed displayed on the instrument cluster; a height-and reach-adjustable steering wheel as standard, automatic operation of the front windscreen wiper and headlamps, electronic parking assistance and, on some versions, power door mirrors that can now also be folded on some versions with the HF remote control unit.

Citroen C2

A road car that is uncompromising on safety

Citroen C2 combines driving pleasure with a high level of protection. It boasts the latest safety features, including ABS, emergency braking assistance, four front and side airbags, hazard warning lights activated automatically by strong braking, and ESP (on the 1.4i and 1.6i 16V engines according to versions and markets). Furthermore, the results of Citroen C2 in EuroNCAP crash tests (4 stars and 29 points) confirm the qualities of the platform shared with the C3 and C3 Pluriel in terms of passenger protection.

In terms of engines and transmissions, Citroen C2 now has a range of five engines: four petrol engines, of which the 61 bhp 1.1i, the 75 bhp 1.4i, the 110 bhp 1.6i 16V, and the 125 bhp 1.6i 16V; and the HDi 70 diesel engine. This diesel engine, along with the 1.4i and 1.6 16V petrol engines, can be mated to the automated SensoDrive gearbox, depending on the country.

Through its Customer Competition programmes, Citroen is involved in the FIA Junior World Rally Championship (JWRC) with Citroen C2 Super 1600. Equipped with a 225 bhp engine, this two-wheel drive vehicle has proved its ability to win on both gravel and asphalt. In 2005 Dani Sordo and Marc Marti won the JWRC title with this model.
