My 06 RAV4 was getting 27 mpg. it has dropped to 25. I am not sure what has the decline. Any ideas?

@Zach #8211; if you live in a climate, the winter weather be the culprit #8230; with warm up times and the like. You also check your tire pressure (free!) and its air filter ($15).

You might switching to a K#038;N air filter K#038;N#8217;s are more efficient and #8230; while cleaning is a added hassle, you#8217;ll over the long run.

One thing off the top of my head #8230; you recently switched your of gasoline? Switching to a brand a higher blend of ethanol can effect mileage.

I recently put gas in my car that had ethanol in it as I then saw that my maintenance light came on- I was wondering if my car to get it all pumped out or if maybe my car was just heating somehow? I had been for a few hours. I have a 2007

Any info would be a huge

#8211; Although there#8217;s a chance the maintenance light on by coincidence, it#8217;s best not to a chance.

Ethanol is everywhere days, but the percentages vary. 10% ethanol shouldn#8217;t be a problem, 85% isn#8217;t a good thing in an that#8217;s not designed for it.

Best bet is to check the filling and your owners manual to see percentage of ethanol is approved and your local Toyota service department a call.
