From left to right:В Wiking VW Beetle 1500, TomyTec Datsun 310 and Toyopet Corona

Notes:В The Prince Gloria Super 6 is the only model in this set that will fit into the lower two levels of the Micro-Trains open tri-level autorack without the roof scraping on the deck above.

The Toyopet Corona was marketed in North America as the Toyopet Tiara.

The prototype was only 58.3 inches wide, which makes the model only slightly wider than the prototype in 1:160 scale inches.

TomyTec Car Collection No. 2

Notes: The Toyota Mark II was marketed in North America as the Cressida.В The Nissan Skyline R30 and the Nissan Cedric 430 in the comparison photo are from Basic Set B1 rather than Car Collection No. 2.

TomyTec Car Collection No. 3

Car Collection No. 3 was initially released in 2006.В The most recent release of the vehicles in this set as of February, 2013 was Basic Set D2.В The four body styles in the collection consist of a 1970 Datsun 432Z, a 1972 Datsun 240ZG, a 1990-96 Nissan 300ZX and a 2003-08 Nissan 350Z.

From left to right:В  Wiking Porsche Boxter, TomyTec Nissan 300ZX and Nissan 350Z

Notes:В The Datsun 432Z was a limited production vehicle with only about 420 built, and was only available in Japan. However, it was externally identical to the Datsun 240Z, a car that was imported into North America starting with the 1970 model year and continuing through 1973.В The Datsun 240ZG was a racing version of the 240Z, and like the 432Z, was not available in North America.В  However, North American Datsun dealers could install a fiberglass “G-nose” kit to a standard 240Z.В All of the Z cars shown above, except for the 240ZG, are from Basic Set D1. The prototypes of the Porsches in the photos are very similar in size to the prototype Datsuns and Nissans they are compared with.

TomyTec Car Collection No. 4

Notes:В Unlike many of the truck models in the TomyTec line which come with a removable bed covering, the tarp on the Datsun 320 is molded to the pickup bed. Therefore, the tarp can be removed only by cutting.В And if removed, an interior for the pickup bed must be constructed or hidden by other means, such as a load.

From left to right:В  Atlas Ford F-150, TomyTec Toyota Hiace and Isuzu Elf

Notes:В TomyTec called this a car collection, but as you can see, most of the models could be considered trucks.В The Canter is marketed in North America as the Mitsubishi Fuso FE which consists of three models, the FE 125, FE 145 and FE 180.В The dimensions for the cargo box on the Canter in 1:160 scale are 92.8 inches wide by 16 feet long and 94.6 inches tall from the floor to the roof.В Hino re-introduced the Class 4 cab-over Dutro to the Canadian market in 2008.
