Bought a 2004 Aerio SX Auto and overall I’m pleased with it. Around town milage at 26-28MPG, very fast and is holding up well. At 50K no real brakedowns yet. Just had a brakejob and changed the tires, other than that it has been filters, gas and oil. I bought the car because of the interior room.

It feels like a mid size inside. For the money, nothing else comes close. Check out Internet pricing from fitzgeralds before you buy retail.

Bought an Aerio SX for my wife after driving one in Puerto Rico. Enjoyed the seating height, comfort, and an airconditioner that makes ice cubes in the 100 degree/99% humidity of Puerto Rico. Returned home to LA and bought one. It is the automatic tranny (the wife insists) version but otherwise box-stock. Paid $17,500 for it less a $1,250 rebate so price was right.

The first 1500 miles or so the mileage was 19 – 20 MPG. Then at about 1600 miles, it jumped to 23.5 in town and 29 – 30 on the road. It seems that Suzuki builds the engine very tight and lets you break it in for your own style of driving. This is a unique machine and everyone who rides in it mentions something they wish their car had. I’ve got it all.

Just one word of caution. Pick the dealer with care. I bought ours at a dealer in Cerritos, CA and would not buy gold bars at 50 cents each from him or a car at any price. He was a jerk and made the experience close to a root-canal without novacaine. The dealer in North Hollywood,CA, though not as slick looking an agency, was a real peach and picked up the maintenance and all sheduled stuff at no charge even though he did not sell the machine.

Really what a auto dealer should be and usually is not.

I had seen this on a British car site about the new swift currenty being tested. It also has AWD and much bigger.

Picked up the Aerio SX May 25th, have filled the tank twice (when the fuel light came on)and now have just over 875km in total. Calculation is around 510km per 50L tank, not bad, considering I got the 5 speed its been city driving with the AC going. First thing I did in under a week was get rid of the awful, awful factory speakers. Pure crap. Miss balanced impedance (8 ohm in back, 4 in the doors) lousy 25watt single cone paper drivers, made in China.

Replaced front rear with 6.5 and 5 1/4 Pioneer 3 way and 2 way speakers respectively. Still have factory deck (maintains aesthetic looks in dash) Set the sub at just over half way, generally maintain the bass at 0 and treble at 1 or 2. Play wide variety new rock, hip hop, rap and can crank the factory deck pretty well! Got the car in blue, with bug deflector, window deflectors, rear bumper cover and the black side molding, its a head turner.
