2006 Subaru R1 FWD 660cc from Singapore

Nothing has wrong with this

General Comments:

Knew of car via the Internet one year before it arrived on my shores. And what a wait it had been!

It got 5 stars for safety (which I absolutely because I came off unscathed in a major accident, coming off only a minor dent, was fixed over a weekend).

It won awards for design, and that is something which I can vouch because it was (and still is) bulbous, sporty and cute that has got the neighbours, the gas station men and talking a plenty everywhere I go.

I get crowds gathering at parking to gawk at it. Which only I gotta clean (often!) of finger prints all over the and glass.

Some have swear they#039;d be getting one they#039;ve saved up enough. ain#039;t a cheap car considering its and engine size, because it is all a high spec car).

The efficiency was average before the was run-in a few months back. I get a whopping 24 km/ litre of petrol.

the most fuel efficient car on the here.

The engine makes all the sporty sounds befitting a Only when it is very nearer the 9000RPM (yes you that right!), when it sounding more like a drone.

The 7 speed i-CVT transmission is a Creamy smooth and immediately Only during hard off the lights does it lag a little. But the revs pile up, the car flies.

3000RPM, it actually lurches as though the engine is turbo Must be a trait this car got its elder siblings like the WRX and models!

Inside, the red on grey is cosy as expected of a coupe.

The RED board is simple and swathed in smooth and high quality Way more stunning and well than any Subaru before sans the top of the line Tribeca SUV. And oh, did I mention the mood -P.

Everything switch/knob falls in intuitively and little guess is needed to use them. And all is solid and

The seats are covered in durable and water-proof #039;new-age#039; fabric. Coupled to the ease of folding down for different variations as the front passenger#039;s which down to become a lap top table and what a dream.

The semi front sports seats is supportive and easily adjustable for height etc.

This IS a so it#039;s a 2+2. And possibly the in the market! The roof slopes towards the boot and hence leg in the rear bench (with rests!) will make an elementary school kid weep.

Believe it or not, it is because of my seats that I#039;d out that one of my best pals is I never knew. LMAO.

But is after all a selfish car and the rear are almost down all the time the whole rear a very shaped and accommodating extension to the almost like a mini You could just reach and grab almost anything!

The tiny niggle is that the flush head unit beautiful to look at, is poor in out a decent sound quality; so the club tracks because the speakers sound like burst any time.

Also, this is a Japan Domestic (JDM) car, the radio#039;s settings are at least 12 Hertz from any local station. So luck in tuning in to your DJ.

Handling-wise, the grippy steering is but gives excellent feed The tyres grip really (like on rails; again Subaru trait) and the suspension is sorted for both sporty and comfort.

The other owners and in Japan are so enthusiastic about little gem, that our car clubs are burgeoning.

Any swinging young couple or someone for a sensible, but stylish second or car, for easy personal ought to get one.

It is one of the more cars in the market for its size, and one be tempted to go for that all sensible saloon or something along boring lines, instead.

But once you#039;ve seen thing in the metal and take a round town, you are bound to in love with it, and will hard not to spend the extra of grand for this Smart Citroen C1, Mitsubishi iCar, 1007, Fiat 500, VW and Mini One, rival.

You see its They ain#039;t cheap Form (and technical over function.

But somehow, I think there will be no for sure.

And mine#039;s not even the All-Wheel drive, Sport CVT

Would you buy another car from manufacturer? Don#039;t Know
