Nissan GT-R fans, you can chill out or relax#8212;or even chillax, if that#8217;s your thing. While it#8217;s true that the standard 2015 GT-R is slightly toned down, it#8217;s not as though the automaker chiseled off the super coupe#8217;s hard edges. Think of them instead as sanded down by microns, an ever-so-slight reversal of course enabled. (View Original Story on Car and Driver)

2015 Toyota Camry to Get UpdatesToyota is revamping the Toyota Camry to maintain its sales lead Over the Honda Accord, Ford Fusion, and Nissan Altima.Toyota typically has among the longest product cycles in the industry. Take the Corolla for instance; until the 2014 Toyota Corolla debuted this year, the Corolla had gone without any major changes for almost eight years #226;#128;#147; meanwhile most of its rivals went through at least one generation during that same period.

The Toyota Camry has typically stuck to that trend too, until now. In the face of increased competition from the Honda Accord and Ford Fusion, Toyota is reportedly planning a mid-cycle update for the Camry next year. Though it has a healthy sales lead making it the best-selling midsize sedan in America, Bloomberg reports that Toyota is planning an update for the 2015 Camry in an effort to make sure it stays America’s best-selling family sedan.

We’ll make some effort through the collective team to keep it number one next year, Toyota group vice president Bill Fay told the outlet. Toyota’s Fay was mum on what update the Camry will receive, other than to say It’s safe to say we’ll be doing something with it. We’ll be paying significant attention to Camry next year. We think it#226;#128;#153;s a safe bet that any Camry updates would be minor.

We’re expecting the midsizer to get subtly tweaked sheetmetal, an upgraded interior (arguably the current car’s weakest point), and likely some new option packages. The current-generation Camry was introduced in time for the 2012 model year, and though its seen some pretty competitors in vehicles like the new Ford Fusion, Mazda6, Nissan Altima, and Honda Accord, it’s been the best-seller in its segment (and among the best-selling cars in the United States) since its debut.

As of November 1, Toyota had sold 348,134 Camrys this year, handily beating out the Accord (307,264 year-to-date), Altima (271,303 year-to-date), and Fusion (248,033 year-to-date). 2014 Nissan Cube Gets New Color, Same Starting PriceNissan’s box car gets new color for 2014, minimal changes.A few years ago, when the JDM box cars were all the rage, Nissan introduced the Cube subcompact to the U.S. market. Much like its rival Scion xB, the Cube has been far surpassed in terms of sales and popularity by the Kia Soul, with its less overtly weird styling, and strong value equation. But the Cube soldiers on, largely unchanged since its 2009 debut.

The biggest change for the 2014 model year is the addition of Caspian Sea blue as a color, replacing 2013’s Bitter Chocolate. Starting at $17,570 for a Nissan Cube 1.8 S with a six-speed manual. The CVT automatic adds an even $1000 for $18,570, and the top-line SL CVT goes for $19,670.2014 Nissan Cube Gets New Color, Same Starting Price | Digg It | Add to del.icio.us (View Original Story on Moter Trend)
