Next

Ryan Tuerck is leading a life at the moment, with his Drift persona mirrored by his hooning and missile car madness – the ably abetted by Tony Chris Forsberg and Vaughn Jr. Ryan lives just a a day drive away from Speedway so when Formula came into town he to bring all three of his drift along. I had a chance to sit down him to talk about the three yet very different drift machines.

Would the Ryan Tuerck please up?

Larry: I see you have brought all of your drift cars. start with the competition

Ryan: The competition car… the only one that I don’t own, but I guess you can say it’s as I do most of the work to it.

taken it upon myself to the suspension as well as other myself and I’ve made the this year compared to how it has in years past.

Larry: So, in a way you adopted it?

Ryan: I definitely took it under my After drifting all these I’ve learned a thing or two the 240sx chassis. I applied all my knowledge that car, you know?

In it’s probably one of the best I ever drifted just the simple fact that got a lot of really nice parts on it, a good and a great transmission.

We got some good suspension parts KW on there, and Part Shop Max us up with their rear-drop helps out with the bump-steer I never had that kind of on a 240 before.

From a competition I had high-end parts when I was for Gardella but I’d never had that on a 240sx, so it’s one of the best with that particular

Larry: So, what would you do if you built one from the ground-up for

Ryan: If I built one from the up? I don’t know, if I had an option to do things I would think doing maybe a turbo engine, on what kind of budget I I always wanted to do a really turbo setup with some anti-lag on it…

Larry: Wow, Versus building a naturally car?

Ryan:  Yeah, I’ve never driven an setup and I’m thinking it probably be on a par, the amount of torque and you could get out of it. But that would some of those super-expensive Garrett and changing them literally two events.

So It would be very and a NA is definitely the best way to go as far as affordability and But if I had those options, I definitely consider that if I put the right sponsors in place.

Larry:  So tell me your black car. I seeing it in the off-season video. I that there were not a tire marks on the ground. You actually laying fresh marks.

The concept for my black car was to have a super clean 240 not for Formula D. I wanted a nice it and I didn’t want to worry getting it destroyed from

I really wanted to build an and I always wanted deep-dish so I got the Works on there. The lip and really shows everything I think it looks cool.

I had an SR in for the off-season video, and my buddy it and destroyed it. He grenaded the whole engine on me I was at SEMA.

Luckily I had a 1Jz just around from another car I purchased and everything was just to bolt in. I originally built it for car, but since my motor was I just said screw it, I’m put this 1Jz in the car.

It became a huge nightmare. I much haven’t driven car since the off-season. Next week at Coast Bash will be the test. Hopefully it will be 100 ready to go by then.

Larry: So, are you another off-season video?

Well, I’m trying to. The venue I got purchased by somebody. I went to him to try and see if I rent the property and his insurance shut me down.

I don’t I’m gonna find anything like that, but I’ve got other ideas that can be as entertaining and fun to watch. So keep an eye out for it.

Okay, so now onto my favorite What’s going on with missile car? Who do you think the whole North American missile

Nissan 200SX

Ryan:  (Laughs) I don’t I think it was kind of like a thing. Me, Tony Angelo and Forsberg pretty much it.

Chris was actually the first one decided that he was gonna buy a car and just destroy it.

Well, not it, but take it out to smash bumpers and panels and everything. So he bought the 24 Of Lemons car that me, Tony, and Chris all went in on.

He put the KA turbo in and driving it at the local events out At the same time Tony and got missile cars as well, so we could screw around on the Coast and have a good

I’m gonna say Chris definitely the initiative to start the revolution.

So my car is basically all spare parts. got a solid SR with a stock T28 on it with upgraded fuel injectors.

I up tires from a tire all used 15-inch tires, them down to E-town and go and have a blast.

It’s very inexpensive. with Chris, Tony and Jr in cars is some of the most fun ever had drifting in my life.

Yeah, it’s cool you finally got Vaughn into it. I saw his car at his place the other day.

Vaughn finally stepped up to the and got a legitimate missile car that we can together. The first days he had his car he destroyed everybody’s cars, but his car is a tank it was just fine.

time I drive my own missile car then gotta rebuild it. thing gets so haggard a couple of hours of driving.

That is just all sorts of Well thanks for showing us cars.

Ryan: No problem! Any
