British automaker, Aston Martin has come up with yet another wonder, the 2014 Aston Martin Rapide S . a curvy and performance oriented car. The new Rapide S is one of the much anticipated vehicle from the automaker after they launched the standard Aston Martin Rapide in 2010. The new Rapide S that was caught testing many times in the past few months has finally made its world debut in January last week.

The iconic British car maker#8217;s new luxury GT is re-designed and re-engineered in such a manner that the vehicle will reassert its position as the world#8217;s most beautiful, and beautifully balanced, four-seat sports car. The luxurious new Rapide S replaces the outgoing Rapide in markets worldwide and comes with a more refined sumptuous interior.

The Rapide S is built on the VH platform, with a bonded-and-riveted structure with body panels made from a mix of steel and aluminum.

The new Rapide S comes with an visually exciting exterior with updated bonnet, front bumper construction and grille. In an effort to give the vehicle#8217;s exterior a refined look, the automaker has lowered the engine of the vehicle by 19 millimeters.

Aston Martin Rapide S also comes with a more pronounced rear deck-lid spoiler that helps the vehicle stable at its top speed of 190 mph. The British automaker also offers an attractive new optional 10-spoke wheels and carbon-fiber package that includes front splitter, rear diffuser, mirror caps and rear lamp infills made of carbon fiber.

The four-door Aston Martin Rapide S comes with a luxurious and thrilling interior with luxury- or sports- orientated options that allows buyers to precisely tailor the car to their specific style. The piano black interior pack adds a deep, rich, mirror-like shine to the facia, transmission tunnel center plate and door handles of the Rapide S. These new elements when combined with darker surrounds in the instrument binnacle and steering wheel with black horn-push surrounds adds to the thrilling looks of the vehicle.

To deliver a captivating visual combination that#8217;s unique to the new Rapide S, the automaker also gives the buyer an option to have a duo-tone combination of perforated red-and-black leather. The rear seats can be folded at the push of a button and they allow increased load space.

Other options that will enhance the luxurious look and feel of the Rapide S include a reversing camera and twin screen rear seat entertainment system with wireless headphones, remote control and six-disc DVD changer.

The all new 2014 Aston Martin Rapide S is powered by the new AM11 naturally-aspirated 6.0-liter V12 powerplant that deliver unprecedented power and improved in-gear acceleration. Aston Martin Rapide S comes with latest Gen4 iteration of Aston Martin#8217;s hi-tech Adaptive Damping System (ADS). The system now offers three distinct settings: Normal, Sport and Track, with the character of each being tailored to the nature of Rapide S. The ADS that has the ability to ability to respond quickly to different driving conditions gives the driver high levels of control at all times.

The different damping modes help the drive to significantly broaden the character of the Rapide S. The damper settings are determined by an electronic control unit that takes sensor readings from the car#8217;s systems, including throttle position, brake position, steering wheel rotation and vehicle speed.

When it comes to parking the vehicle, take our word Aston Martin Rapide S is not an easy car to park or maneuver in tight spaces.

Like the new Aston Martin DB9, the new Rapide S achieves compliance with the latest European pedestrian protection regulations, thanks to the innovative new front grille design. From our Friends:

This is a car that’s classy and elegant when it’s not moving; then extroverted and charming, from inside or out, when it is. And we#8217;re more than a bit envious of anyone with the deep pockets to afford one. #8211; Motorauthority

Yet the updated Rapide S, boasting its 550 horsepower V12 and flashy new grille, changes the game. Owners no longer need to hide behind the sleek aluminum shell and watch as others leave it at the light. This year, the sedan#8217;s heart and soul is now every bit as engaging as its visual aura. #8211; Autoblog

Otherwise, there are top-line offerings from other makes that come achingly close to the Rapide’s feature set for far less outlay, and as such, sticklers and #8220;savvy shoppers#8221; need not apply. Aston Martin buyers have always had to suspend their disbelief a bit at the hard numbers to get the most of their purchase. In return, they get to feel special, if not completely cutting-edge. #8211; Jalopnik
