Rarish modern Porsche with all the right stuff. Car is loaded with polar silver paint and tiptronic transmission. Miles are okay. Car is a clean and solid Southern California machine.

Seller got good money, well done. Seller had (139) ebay rating, buyer had (0) with shades (joined day auction ended).

(Chris Lydiksen)

The most disarable color, Polar Silver over black leather interior ($682 option) with aluminum trim; full power seat package ($956 option) and Tiptronic transmission. Brand new 18 Porsche Turbo rims with Yokohama’s latest maximum performance tires. (The Porsche Turbo wheel package from Porsche is nearly $4000 and these tires are better; they are 245/40 18 fronts and 285/30 rear; bigger tires mean better handling, better braking and longer lasting tires as the weight is distributed over more tire area.)

Porsche 968

This 968 is in immaculate condition w/super low miles. The top is nearly new. The paint is nearly perfect without a scratch, nick or ding or even a stone chip!

The car has ice cold AC, PW, Cruise, dual airbags, ABS, Brembo brake calipers, central locking, alarm, etc.

The 968 cabriolet is the rarest production Porsche; it gets great fuel mileage [20 mph in town 28 on freeway and 20 gallong tank!] and goes nearly 160 mph, makes more power than a Boxster and nearly the same as the Boxster S. Two of Europe’s leading auto magazines, Autocar and Motor Magazine, judged the 968 as THE BEST HANDLING CAR IN THE WORLD. Needless to say, it handles better than anything almost anything out there, has dual airbags, ABS and is truly unique. People in Beverly Hills ask if its Porsche’s new model!

The car has a fully lined power top, books, tools and the original and unused spare tire as well as the original gloves in the engine compartment glove box.

The 968 has Porsche’s Tiptronic transmission which was nearly $5000 option (the Polar silver paint was nearly a $1000 option!) The Tiptronic makes the 968 a very enjoyable car to drive if you live in a city or commute. The Tiptronic is essentially as quick as the manual. Most people don’t realize, but the Tiptronic starts off in second gear for fuel economy reasons.

If you shift into first you’ll see the car really takse off!

The tiptronic can be shifted like the BMW SMG or Ferrari F1 in that you can change gears manually but don’t have a clutch to bother with. You just move the lever up or down to shift up or down. Or you can simply leave it in auto mode and the car shifts itself.
