Once the anti message had gone from the one of a few things would happen.

airbag would disable and up on the dashboard

Engine management on the dashboard would come on

All on the dashboard would go off and all the lights on the would start flashing, the fuel gauge, rev counter, all go to zero, for about 20 seconds, all would come back on and the airbag would light up

Once any one of these things all the rear lights would to play up. Brake lights stay on permanently, then would flicker, etc.

The door stopped locking, ever all the doors were the boot door would and open again without the for the handle to be used. Locking all then closing the boot finally get it to close and lock.

On occasions, the accelerator pedal lose all power with the on tick-over only.

Turning the engine off whilst for a few minutes then restarting the always rectified the faults, the anti pollution fault came on again.

It could be 50 down the road, it could be 2 completely random.

You really make it up, I read peugeot googled questions about the 307, etc, all with no solution to the We even paid auto investigate.

As the anti pollution seemed to be the start of the problems, so my plan of … was good old For about 3 tanks of diesel added to fuel tank, seemed to make things a better, still the problem

Next, I changed all the bulbs in the lights, no joy there.

Next of … was to have the fuel blown out. I was told there are two fuel pumps on the 307s, one that works on low then switches to the other pump for higher gears. I don’t know if this is but it was suggested that sometimes the gear fuel pump tiny iron filings in the lines.

Anti pollution was causing so much grief we even started looking to buy a different car. Once in a car park, I locked the car up and it turned the of the peugeot next to us off.

The gent asked us to open and the car again and sure enough it his factory fit radio off!

The was solved by a complete fluke.

Peugeot 307

On a up north, as I came off the good old A1, I a rattling noise. I pulled to see the silencer/back box of the suspension hanging tapping against the floor.

The RAC off the back box, it had snapped before it, on the mid pipe. I drove the car 130 miles back without a as the car goes into Economy actaully saving diesel on it was using with the full attached!

The peugeot 307 doesn’t have holding the exhaust system up, it is to the car via two rubber mounts. Welded on the back box push into mounts. The side facing had broken.

This revealed where the pipe had come had been corroded and with the facing the underside of the car, it was to spot.

#163;40 outlay for a new mid section and a new rubber bung we now considered with some selling the car and buying one that

I drove out from the exhaust with a long trip to due that afternoon.

The anti pollution fault?

The fault with the lights and the not closing etc, gone!

The management lights, the dashboard off, the airbags deactivating, all to have gone! *Touch

So if you have the anti pollution and various electrical faults on peugeot 307, before you do anything get a garage to remove your from it’s rubber and check the underside, car facing of your exhaust!

Chances are exhaust is corroded somewhere and it is in air causing the fault!
