Regrets: Saab 9000

Perhaps I#8217;ve been lucky with my used car but I regret selling every one of them. I loved the solidity and of my old Audi 100 2.3-litre. I enjoyed my Primera GT P11 to bits #8211; notably its good engine and chassis.

And now I regret selling my Saab 9000 Aero a few ago.

The Aero was replaced by a 850 R. Don#8217;t get me wrong, I#8217;m with my “aaarrr”. It#8217;s a car, and, in some areas, better than the It#8217;s just that sentimental when it comes to and that I miss some of its curiously a few of them intangible.

One of things I love best my 850 is the colour. Turquioise isn#8217;t the choice when you#8217;re to buy a car, especially if it#8217;s an old Volvo. But the truth is, the colour the 850 very well, transforming could be a boring saloon a mildly striking car.

The 850 has Alcantara/leather beige seats and a lot more bearable, but you sense the hasn#8217;t the same restrained especially with the R#8217;s IKEA birch wood.

And the engine? Surely the feature of any Saab. It seems post ‘classic 900’ era engineers worked from to Friday morning on the engines and they#8217;d spend Friday designing the chassis, probably at the in the middle of a happy hour.

The B234R, on the other was a magnificent engine, being reliable, quiet and relatively efficient. And with forged you could upgrade it to vast of power without risk of a conrod flying. As the 9000 too heavy, it lets you drive as a hooligan, or waft along unleashing the power when The 850 engine isn#8217;t bad at all, well enough, it#8217;s refined and sounds better,

I bought the 850 a year ago. The was to see if the 850 behaved properly, being or less reliable, and if it passed the then sell the Aero. I have loved to keep it, but I was about future expenses using public transport to go to the from Monday to Friday, I need two big Swedish turbo waiting to be used at weekends.

So a classified ad was put on the ’net. After insulting offers from my Spaniards, that demonstrated knew next to nothing Saabs, last April I a email from a Finnish who was very interested. After emails, 160 pictures of the car and dealing the red tape, a agreement was reached.
