Christmas Party

Christmas is here. (Well, sort At this time of the year, is busy giving and receiving out and gifts to their friends and ones, and this joyful of the Christmas season came to IV too and this calls for a warm and bonding session, immersing in this season of caring and in the midst of the IHG and IHRG.

And this HALL IV welcomes a special to celebrate Christmas with us – and HOLLY. (HOLLY is the IHG mascot by the joint hall publicity and he (she) will be circulating all 16 Halls in school (and around in the hall for a couple of before moving on to the next – during this period of residents can stay tune to the of HOLLY and grab a chance to pictures with him (her)) and we are lucky to be the first hall to the ball rolling and coincidentally, we can Christmas with HOLLY. )

back to the event, everyone a small gift for the Christmas exchange and boy, there such a variety of gifts and the special gift of all (in my opinion) was a bag of two pineapples, that were tied up in ribbons(?!). Then as the kept coming in while the were being coordinated, was invited to start enjoy the prepared by the block coms respective blocks – was so much food!

We have chicken, baked macaroni, mee and many more food were simply delicious. One that could not be missed Christmas – Christmas caroling – was Christmas caroling performed by a of guys during dinner and had a sing-along session and a good when the guys sang the songs like the songs army. But I have to say, is a good thing because this, the atmosphere was livelier and isn’t Christmas supposed to this special tingling of joy and cheer with lots of )

Just then, we have the session lead by our emcees and all of us a good laugh again we enjoyed the food and music.

as we were enjoying ourselves, was another special guest and guess who is it? Yes! It’s Santa Claus came with a big bag of gifts for everyone – is a big bag filled with yummy and candies… After he had distributed his gifts to us, it was time for one of the “main” for the event – THE CHRISTMAS GIFT After which, it was time for DRAW.

Then there was a item for the event – writing on balloons, which were around (well… technically, the entrance of canteen 4. Wishes made and mostly, (as can be seen) WE GOOD GPAs. It was the end of October. The time of the again where the constant of activities in Hall 4 subsides as start their examination Stress piles up. Bodies and becomes weary.

Hall Idol served to the various talents of Hall 4 and pit against each other as to who emerge the winner of the title and of Hall 4’s Hall Idol.

Amongst our contestants none other than our Prince this year, Wei Jie and Jam Band Head Jonathan. took it a step further to singing with instrumental Bernadette’s and Jonathan’s piano and and Horace’s guitar performance.

Soon it was the end of the event, but the residents who down did not just leave handed. Each was also an exam package consisting of goodies and useful items for examination preparation such as heart notebooks, KOKA noodles and Indocafe coffee.

the Round Island Supper was held not long ago in August, it is to have another annual which is none other the celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is the day where Hall 4 was established! our well known peace-loving and ‘Hokkien’ culture, this had truly brought lots of and enjoyment to the residents.

The theme for event was “Relive the Hall 4 as we turn 26!” which us an opportunity to introduce the unique of Hall 4 to the new residents. It was also a where new ties were as hall fellows, alumni and interact and mingle around each other while dinner together without the traditional festival.

Before the “concert” begins, were encouraged to participate in the Photo” competition whereby poses with creative which incorporate lanterns, and candles in it. The “concert” officially with the walking in of JCRC Portfolios and an opening speech by our Hall Fellow, Professor Everyone were then to grab the buffet dinner and watched the performances happening

First up was the Hokkien singing by Xian Yang, Horace, Xin Kai, and Bernadette who sang several Hokkien songs which songs by Andy Lau and Chris It was followed by a moon cake game which involved a few and they indeed came out several innovative ways to the moon cakes.

The next was performed by Timothy Chan, who his talent in Wushu which everyone about the exciting art that is now rarely seen. which, it was KPOP dance for the 15 junior portfolios of the JCRC, a medley of the famous dances various KPOP groups Brown Eye Girls, T-ara, Generation and Psy.

The moon eating competition was up next and residents were up against other to finish as many cakes as possible! The last was by our very own Hall 4 Jam Band and marked the end of the “concert”.

Not forgetting our birthday, a birthday cake was forward and everyone sang a song to Hall 4 before Yap was invited to cut the cake. While the was being distributed, a prize was held. The winners for the games won 2 Solo snow skin cakes each and winner for the Photo” competition won a bottle of
