The all new fourth generation Nissan Micra was launched in the year 2010, at Geneva Motor Show. New Nissan Micra is a perfect blend of newer generation cutting edge technology with advanced features and exceptional design. The Nissan Micra in India has been developed and built on Nissan ’s all-new V-platform. New Nissan Micra in India that was to be built in at least four overseas locations was designed and tested in Japan.

Nissan Micra has been fine-tuned to compete with the differing tastes and needs of the customers in around 160 countries worldwide.

New Nissan Micra in India was launched on July 15 in the year 2010, in Mumbai. The price tag of the Nissan Micra was ranged between Rs.4 lacs to Rs.6.30 lacs. It has been launched with four petrol variants, but later on two diesel variants were also added to the list. The engine of Nissan Micra provides fuel economy of 23.8 kmpl.

During the next four to five years, the company is planning to launch seven new models from its product portfolio.

The Nissan Micra is available in India in three petrol variants and two diesel variants. Petrol variants of Nissan Micra are named as Nissan Micra XE, Nissan Micra XE Plus , Nissan Micra XL, and Nissan Micra XV. The diesel variants of Nissan Micra are launched as Nissan Micra XV and Nissan Micra XV premium.

The Japanese automobile company Nissan has launched its much awaited premium version in the hatchback segment in India, named Nissan Micra. It was launched in the Indian Automobile market on July 15 in the year 2010. The company has recently commenced its manufacturing plant in Chennai in a joint venture with Renault. This plant, which has the capacity to produce four lacs unit per year, has been set-up after the investment of Rs.4500 crore.

In its initial tenure, Nissan will produce only two lacs cars in the plant.

In the Japanese market, Nissan Micra is known as Nissan March, but its India version is christened as Nissan Micra. The first Nissan Micra was produced by Nissan in the year 1982. K10 engine, which were produced within the years 1982-1992 was incorporated within the Nissan Micra and they are still popular on the UK roads.

Nissan Micra has launched its various models in the Indian automotive market. Nissan has launched three petrol and two diesel variants of new Nissan Micra in India . Petrol variants of Nissan Micra are Nissan Micra XE, Nissan Micra XE Plus, Nissan Micra XL, and Nissan Micra XV. On the other hand, the diesel variants of Nissan Micra are Nissan Micra XV and Nissan Micra XV premium.

The overall length and width of all the variants of Nissan Micra are same, only the height of both the variants differs. Seating capacity of Nissan Micra is of five adults, which is perfect for Indian family. The fuel tank capacity and trunk capacity of all the variants is same, which is 41 litres and 251 litres, respectively.
