Mitsubishi’s mid-size Challenger 4WD has been upgraded, and now represents better value for money, as items that were optional have now been as standard equipment for no extra

Body-coloured side protection are now standard on monotone coloured (they were previously standard on two-tone vehicles), the Mitsubishi Three Diamond has adopted the chrome look of models, rather than red as was the case.

The LS model now gets black rails as standard, as well as a new LS on the tailgate.

Inside, a titanium-look panel insert and power switch surrounds are now standard on the model, while a new seat and carpets have also introduced at the same time. A dimpled leather covered wheel and gearshift knob is on the LS model, while the woodprint window switch surrounds are now to the front only.

ABS with Electronic Brakeforce a hybrid LSD, and cruise are now all standard, while a cargo rail, passenger seatback and electric antenna with position stop have been added as standard to the entry model.

The LS now gets an tilt/slide sunroof and an in-dash stacker, while a cargo has also been added as equipment.

When added to Challenger’s impressive list of standard – air conditioning, power power exterior mirrors, air bags, remote keyless central door locking, radio with single CD, 16 wheels, and ‘Easy Select’ 4WD – the value equation overwhelming.

There are two new monotone and two new two-tone introduced into the palette Cool Silver Metallic, Pearl, Medium Red Mica/Medium Mica, and Cool Silver Grey Mica – and all have adopted the global paint colour names.
