The Wiper Blade That Lasts Years, Not Months

Driving can be challenging when facing unpredicted weather conditions, but often one has to wonder why companies simply can#8217;t seem to make products that last. Is it a shortfall in their technology, or is it rather planned obsolescence. Thankfully this is not a question that consumers need to ask in reference to SilBlade products.

The goal at SilBlade is simple, to create quality wiper blade products that don#8217;t need constant replacing, but that drivers can count on when they need clarity behind the wheel. This has made the durability of SilBlade products exceptional, with their line of wiper blades consistently lasting for years rather than months. This saves you money, and avoids unnecessary waste in landfills of used products.

SilBlade Technology

All SilBlade wipers use the patented silicone rubber formula wiper squeegee. The SilBlade patented formulation is unaffected by the elements that break down conventional wipers (UV/sunlight), ozone, oil and grime from road spray. This unique formulation is also unaffected by extreme temperatures as low as -80°F and as high as 400°F.

The graphite and PTFE nonstick coating in the formulation gives the SilBlade silicone wiper its ability to effortlessly glide smoothly across your windshield. The SilBlade patented formulation leaves an invisible hydrophobic coating (water repellent) within 90 days from the first use. The activated release recharges the hydrophobic layer with every use throughout the life of SilBlade wipers.

The result is that your visibility on rainy conditions improves with every wipe.

About SPE

SilBlade was created by Silicon Specialty Products (SSP). SSP is a manufacturer of a wide variety of silicone rubber products for both industrial and consumer uses. The company was founded by four former GE Silicone scientists and marketing personnel who were committed to developing the ultimate windshield wiper.

They worked on perfecting the silicone rubber wiper formula for 2 years. The patented formula uses a unique blend of silicone rubber (for durability) and graphite (for superior surface wipe) resulting in the #8220;BEST#8221; silicone wiper on the market. In 2010 SilBlade was sold to Specialty Products Enterprises, LLC (SPE).

Mazda 121 (DB) (1991–1998)

The Autozam Revue was a subcompact car from Mazda#8217;s Autozam marque, introduced in October 1990 in Japan. The demise of that marque led to the car#8217;s being renamed the Mazda Revue from 1994 until 1998. The car was also sold in Europe, Australia, Chile and some other export markets as the Mazda 121, where it replaced the previous 121 based on the first-generation Ford Festiva.

The Revue was available as a small 4-door sedan with an optional canvas sunroof added in 1992. 1.1 L, 1.3 L and 1.5 L engines were offered, with either 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.

In 1996, the 121 name was shifted to export versions of the Mazda Demio, a tall, five-door hatchback, which became exported as the Mazda2 in its second generation. A Ford Fiesta, assembled at Ford#8217;s Valencia plant barely modified, but rebadged as the Mazda 121, was also sold in some markets after 1996 (where the Demio was sold at the same time with its original name). Sales of the Revue ended in Japan in June 1998.

In Australia, The Mazda 121 was often referred to as the Bubble car or Jellybean with the car#8217;s colour often added to the latter, for example: The little green jellybean. It was highly awarded in Australia, topping its class in more than one year from a range of automotive magazines, motoring associations and motoring programs on television .

The Revue was sold in Britain as the Mazda 121, but its unconventional compact saloon body style saw it competing in a virtually non-existent market in Britain, as cars of the size had almost universally been hatchbacks for some years prior to the 121#8242;s arrival. Some buyers likened it to the Austin A35, but whatever qualities it had to offer were inadequate for attracting sales, as it was a rare sight on British roads from start to finish.
