Need for Speed: Underground 2 Edit

The Lexus IS 300 is available in Need for Speed: Underground 2 upon reaching level 3. The player must complete URL event 5 to unlock the car.

The IS 300 has average performance and handling. Despite it having average performance and handling, it can be easily beaten by other tuned cars. However, it is a decent car to drive during the first portion of the career.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted Edit

The Lexus IS 300 is already available at the beginning of Need for Speed: Most Wanted with a price tag of $27,000.

The IS300 has the best handling of all initial career cars although it is still slightly slower than most of its rivals. It can reach a top speed of up to 195 mph (314 kph) with Junkman performance parts.

A modified IS 300 is driven by Blacklist Racer # 14 – Taz. It features a widened body kit and a pronounced flame vinyl colour scheme.

Need for Speed: Carbon Edit

The Lexus IS 300 appears in Need for Speed: Carbon as Tier 1 Tuner car. It is a reward-card-only unlock. The game features a stock and modified variant of the Lexus IS 300.

It cannot be driven in career mode, but is available in Quick Race mode as well as Multiplayer. It doesn’t stand out in terms of performance but it is stable in turns.

It is available in the PS2 release of the title but only in the first Canyon Duel of the Challenge Series.

Need for Speed: World Edit

Lexus IS300

The Lexus IS 300 was made available to Need for Speed: World players on August 14th, 2012 as a Tier 1 car in a Treasure Hunter trim. On November 30th, 2012, a standard variant with a Class D rating became available.

The standard variant has an overall rating of 277 and can be purchased for 300,000.

Compared to the Lexus IS 350. it has a worse handling and top speed (127 mph/205 kmh), but compensates these traits with a significantly stronger nitrous boost. It also has a weak acceleration, comparable to that of the Toyota Corolla GT-S and good pursuit durability.

The Treasure Hunter was first available until August 22nd, 2012, and reappeared in the car dealer on August 26nd, 2012 until November 30th, 2012, when it was removed again.

It has a series of two-star rated skill mods. as well as a a unique Treasure Hunter mod. It is fitted with Medion pro tuned parts and customised in a Treasure Hunter style by a series of aftermarket parts. It was purchaseable for 2,000 .

The Treasure Hunter is a competitive car, being up to par with the Toyota MR2 GT-S and similar cars. Players can gain a lot of additional speed from its powerful nitrous boost, which is the car’s best trait. Whilst its handling might be less precise than smaller Class B cars, it is still sufficient for making braking redundant in most situations.

The IS 300 also shows preeminences in the field of acceleration due to Medion pro parts, but feels lacking compared to several Class B cars such as the 2003 Mazda RX-8. They allow it to reach 172 mph (277 kmh) as top speed and hit 187 mph (301 kmh) when nitrous is used. Because of a slightly heavy mass, it can be used in pursuits well, too.

Trivia Edit

The bonnet camera of the IS 300 in Need for Speed: World erroneously shows the interior of the car.
