Its slick and smooth bodywork was by Giorgetto Giugiaro, an Italian designer at ItalDesign. The designing was based on many other vehicles like Ford and Oldsmobile Inca. Later, planned to place the concept car production and that too with of the existing design cues, the unusual window-within-a-window.

It was described by Subaru as ‘aircraft-inspired canopy’, taken from the Alcyone XT. By retaining most of the cues from concept the production version gave a chance to ride a genuinely concept vehicle.

Compared to the boxy and lanky XT, the Aclyone SVX came with looks and an uncommon aircraft-inspired canopy’, also featuring power side windows. the windows are come apart half way from the base, partition being analogous to the curve of the door frame.
