wiring

7mm socket and socket wrench

and importantly, patience#33;

the install:

Pop off the column top cover. You may need to 3 t-25 torx head/7mm under the steering wheel to do this.

the tool:

this is the 3 torx head/7mm bolts the steering wheel column you have to take off:

Locate the white wire on the signal switch harness. is the feed from the brake which tells the signals to on and off the brake light on each Do not confuse it with the gray control wire. DOUBLE that it IS the brake wire by with a multimeter or a test

It should have +12 volts you press the brake pedal. Cut the wire and tape it off. it an inch or so, just in case if you to reconnect it in the future.

Reinstall the steering cover.

In the trunk, either cut off the plug to the brake light, or the wires out of the plastic connector. You can the new connections or use … connectors choice).

Ok now, this can throw people off, which is why I some pix to explain this.Rewire the as follows: the black wire goes to black, brown (marker lights +) goes to yellow from car (left +) to light blue on Left green from car (right +) to light blue on Right

drivers side wiring of the harness:

an illustration of the black (ground) going to black, wire (marker lights +) to brown, and yellow from car signal +) to light blue on tail

passengers side wiring of the harness:

an illustration of the black (ground) going to black, wire (marker lights +) to brown, and green from car signal +) to light blue on tail.

in the pix you also se the white hooking up to another white you will need to buy about of extra wire in order to this next part.

Tap into the white wire(s) go to the third brake light/high light on the spoiler or rear If you don#39;t have one, you at least have the wiring for it the rear deck. Using extra wire, connect the wire from the third light to the remaining wires: on left tail, green on tail. NOTE#33; Some 02 (and possibly 03 models) use the yellow 3rd brake light

DOUBLE CHECK the brake with a multimeter or test first.

in my case i didn#39;t have a brake light/high stop on the spoiler or rear deck, but the for it under the rear deck was here is a pic of the extra white i bought connected to the wiring the rear deck:

Now test and it should work#33; hope helps everyone in the future.
