The guidance on first aid in the workplace is but there will be no changes to the legislation which governs legal responsibilities. The new guidance is at giving employers more in determining their first aid

The new guidance will see the mandatory FAW training courses reduced to days and there will be an

option for a one-day course in for smaller businesses. All FAW qualified will still have to a two-day requalification course three years. HSE will
strongly recommend annual training for qualified first-aiders.

Although not mandatory, it will them maintain their skills and keep up to date any changes to first aid procedures. If is followed employers should be placed to meet their responsibilities.
