Powered by a 4.8-litre V8 twin-turbo petrol engine, the car kicks out 570 bhp, that’s a 50-bhp increase in power compared to the Panamera Turbo. The engine produces 750 Nm of torque between 2250 and 5000 rpm and with the overboost this increases to 800 Nm.

The design is largely the same as this is just a minor nip and tuck for the Panamera Turbo S. It has received a new front bumper with larger air intakes and redesigned LED head lamps. The 20-inch 911 Turbo II wheels are not only larger but also significantly wider than the standard wheels belonging to other Gran Turismo models. The four-way rear spoiler, painted in the same colour as the exterior, is another unique feature on the Panamera Turbo S.

Performance figures are mouth-watering, the Panamera Turbo S will complete the benchmark sprint in 3.8 seconds and it will go on to a top speed of 193mph.

Fuel economy has been improved by 11% giving the Panamera Turbo S a claimed economy of 27.7mpg while the standard car emits 239g/km of CO2.

The flagship Panamera model from Porsche features an extensive range of equipment. Highlights include Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), an active roll stabilisation system, (starts reducing the vehicle’s lateral inclination as it approaches bends), increasing agility and comfort in equal measure. The Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) system (works with a variable standard torque split at the rear wheels in combination with an electronically controlled rear-axle differential lock to provide improved traction in any driving situation), Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB), speed-sensitive Power Steering Plus and the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) adaptive damper control and adaptive air suspension with additional air volume.

Porsche has confirmed that it will offer two Panamera Turbo S models. There will be a standard car and Panamera Turbo S Executive2. The Executive 2 model has a longer wheelbase, extended by 15cm to offer more space and extra comfort for those travelling especially in the rear.

The new Porsche Panamera Turbo S will go on sale in the UK in February 2014 and prices should start from around the £154,000 mark.
