I BOUGHT A 2004 CHEVROLET SSR IN 2010 WAS A USED VEHICLE NO TEST DRIVE WAS OK EVERYTHING AS EXPECTED. I STARTED NOTICING I WAS GOING SLOWER THAN CARS AROUND ME. I CHECKED A FRIEND WHO DROVE BESIDE ME. IT WAS THAT THE SPEEDOMETER WAS OFF 10 TO 15 MPH.

I CONTACTED CHEVROLET DEALER PROBLEM IN MARCH 2010. I TO DROP OFF MY TRUCK FOR A DIAGNOSTIC IT WOULD TAKE 24 HOURS OR 5 TO 7 AT $150 PER HOUR TO DETERMINE THE PARTS REPAIR LABOR TO

I SAID THAT WAS OUTRAGEOUS. NO TECHNICIANS IN AREA WERE ON THE SSR’S ELECTRONICS. I CONTACTED GM FOR SERVICE REQUEST #71-982295330 THE I WAS EXPERIENCING WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL.

NO THROUGH 2006 SSR’S REPORTED TO BE HAVING ANY PROBLEMS THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. THE DEALER NO PROBLEM WAS NOT REPAIRED. I HAVE PUTTING UP WITH THE PROBLEM TACHOMETER AS A GUIDE TO SPEED. THE TIME I START TRUCK IT TO BE JUST A FEW MILES PER HOUR BUT AS I GO THROUGH START CYCLES IT TO BE MORE MPH OFF.

IF VEHICLE OVER NIGHT. 12 OR MORE IT SEEMS TO RESET ITSELF. I WAS OUT 4/29/2012 FOR A DRIVE. I WAS PULLED BY A POLICE OFFICER ON RADAR 67 MPH IN A 55 MPH ZONE.

I CHECKED MY SPEED AT THE TIME WAS 55 MPH. THE OFFICER LET ME OFF WITH A TO PARK VEHICLE TILL IT IS NOW WHAT DO I DO? CHEVROLET DOES NOT A RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE PEOPLE THAT I KNOW ARE SSR HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS INSTRUMENT PANEL GAUGES.

IT IS A PROBLEM WITH SSR OWNERS. BUT AS I WAS MOST HAD IT REPAIRED AT THERE OWN

NOW I HAVE A TRUCK WITH A SPEEDOMETER NO PLACE TO GET REPAIRS BY EXPERIENCED MECHANICS. I NEED MY FIXED AT GM CHEVROLET EXPENSE.

BELTS

THE CONTACT OWNS A CHEVROLET SSR. THE CONTACT STATED ONE OF THE SEAT BELTS HAD BECOME THE CONTACT ORDERED A REPLACEMENT BELT BUT ONCE IT WAS RECEIVED, HE THAT THE SEAT BELT WAS BACKWARD AND EXHIBITED AN ABNORMAL THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED WHO ADVISED THE SEAT BELT HAD TO BE INSTALLED IN ORDER FOR IT TO OPERATE CORRECTLY.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND THE MILEAGE WAS 20,000. UPDATED THE CONSUMER STATED THE PLASTIC WAS DEFECTIVE. A NEW SEAT BELT WAS

HOWEVER, IT WAS DISCOVERED THE NEW BELT WAS TWO WEEKS LATER, A NEW BELT AND IT WAS ALSO TWISTED. UPDATED

EXTERIOR LIGHTING

I HAVE ADVISED BY THE ORANGE COUNTY TO REPORT THE HEADLIGHT COVERS ON MY CHEVROLET SSR ARE MELTING FROM THE OF THE HEADLIGHT. THEY HAVE ME THAT THIS IS A SAFETY THAT THE MANUFACTURER NEEDS TO I HAVE SPOKEN TO CHEVROLET BUT SAY MY VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY.

I HAVE MANY VEHICLES IN MY LIFE FOR PERIODS OF TIME AND HAVE HAD THE HEADLIGHT COVERS MELT. PER THE THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND FEEL THAT THIS IS NOT A SINGLE PROBLEM TO MY VEHICLE AND TO ASK FOR A THANK YOU.

LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES: DOORS: LATCH
