The ZeroG Power Mod is an electronic unit which will boost the power output of your Chevrolet Evanda 2.0 16V Cdx Abs Ecc Aut 4Ov engine by up to 20 BHP without sacrificing any reliability, comfort or economy. It is an electronic device that is fitted between your air flow sensor and ECU – commonly referred to as a ‘piggy back’ device as it is external to the vehicles main processing unit (the ECU) .

Compared to other power increasing products on the market, such as a Superchip (for example) – The ZeroG Power Mod can provide similar HP gains at just a fraction of the price.

Frequently Asked Questions :

Q. How does the ZeroG Power Mod work ?

A. The ZeroG Power Mod will alter the fuel and timing curves within your ECU without you even having to open your ECU box (as you would if fitting a Super Chip) . In simple terms – It tells your cars’ ECU it is drawing in air at a lower temperature, hence the timing is slightly advanced. Timing advance helps to produce more power by igniting the sparks sooner, providing more time for the fuel / air mixture to burn completely, increasing cylinder pressure, thus providing more power.

Q. What is an ECU ?

A. An ECU is the main computer within your car that manages your engine. The ECU receives data from different sensors on the engine and reacts consequently, adjusting the level of fuel injected into the engine as well as adjusting the timing advance.

Q. What is a ‘piggy back’ device.

A. A ‘piggy back’ device is an electronic unit that externally alters one or more signals sent to the ECU. This is a very common modification but also normally very expensive. Most ‘piggy back’ devices cost several hundred pounds.

Q. I don’t have much room in my engine bay, how big is ZeroG Power Mod .

A. The ZeroG Power Mod is 4cm long and will easily fit within all engine bays.

Q. Will this device damage my car or void my warranty.

A. No – Since the altered signal sent to your cars’ ECU will always stay within the manufacturers specifications there is no way that it can damage your engine. Your engine will remain within the manufacturers specifications and hence will not void your warranty.

Q. How hard is it to install this device to my car and will I require any tools.

A. Installation on all cars is a very easy DIY task that can be completed within 5 to 10 minutes. No tools are required and full instructions are included.

Q. Will my car accelerate faster with this electronic device?

A. Yes – It has been dyno proven on various Rolling Roads across the country that this type of device will add more power to your car. Please see the figures below, obtained from the ‘Peugeot Sports Club’ and also from the ‘Fiat Sports Club’ . All vehicles noted below were tested on a rolling road, first in standard form, and then with a Power Mod fitted.

Peugeot 205 GTi 1.6 +6 BHP

Chevrolet Evanda

Peugeot 205 GTi 1.9 +7 BHP

Peugeot 306 XSi+8 BHP

Peugeot 306 GTi +13 BHP

Peugeot 405 Mi-16 +15 BHP

Fiat Uno +7 BHP

Fiat Punto +8 BHP

Fiat Cinquencento +7 BHP

Fiat Coupe +11 BHP

Fiat Bravo +9 BHP

Fiat Brava +8 BHP

Fiat Barchetta +7 BHP

As you will note, the above test vehicles were all under 1.9 Litre capacity, the Peugeot 405 Mi-16 was the best performing at +15BHP, with a larger capacity engine the extra power produced could well be in the region of 20 to 25BHP.
