The ZeroG Power Mod is an electronic unit which will boost the power output of your Chevrolet Evanda 2.0 16V Cdx Abs Ecc Aut 4Ov engine by up to 20 BHP without sacrificing any reliability, comfort or economy. It is an electronic device that is fitted between your air flow sensor and ECU – commonly referred to as a ‘piggy back’ device as it is external to the vehicles main processing unit (the ECU) .

Q. How does the ZeroG Power Mod work ?

In simple terms – It tells your cars’ ECU it is drawing in air at a lower temperature, hence the timing is slightly advanced. Timing advance helps to produce more power by igniting the sparks sooner, providing more time for the fuel / air mixture to burn completely, increasing cylinder pressure, thus providing more power.

Q. What is an ECU ?

A. An ECU is the main computer within your car that manages your engine. The ECU receives data from different sensors on the engine and reacts consequently, adjusting the level of fuel injected into the engine as well as adjusting the timing advance.

Q. What is a ‘piggy back’ device.

A. A ‘piggy back’ device is an electronic unit that externally alters one or more signals sent to the ECU. This is a very common modification but also normally very expensive. Most ‘piggy back’ devices cost several hundred pounds.

A. No – Since the altered signal sent to your cars’ ECU will always stay within the manufacturers specifications there is no way that it can damage your engine. Your engine will remain within the manufacturers specifications and hence will not void your warranty.
