Thanks for the review Gabe!

As you out, the X1 makes a very case for itself when head-to-head with the F31. As as I would love to have an BMWUSA did not do it any favors with the way it was

Nice I was given an RWD X1 as a loaner last when the ActiveE went in for its checkup, and was really impressed it #8211; so much that considering getting one. The took a little getting to, but I didn#8217;t find it as intrusive as I had it would be #8211; and of course you can it. The power of the standard turbo and the 8-speed auto make for a quick little ute.

Even the neighborhood teenager was at the X1#8242;s get-up-and-go. Don#8217;t what sort of mpg I got, but I kept being surprised at how I was driving, it probably wasn#8217;t (It was a loaner, after all!)

Like the one you reviewed, mine have the upgraded sound either. Having never the one that costs an extra I have no basis for comparison to say that the stock system in the X1 better to me than the HK system in my Clubman does.

One odd thing I did was that it has no dipstick for either the oil or the transmission fluid. The instrument has a display that the driver can up for the oil level, but nothing at all for the … I could see). I suspect most people won#8217;t notice the lack of a dipstick, but as one who likes to do his own vehicle maintenance, I it.

Great post, Two questions: does the sDrive also get #8220;Performance Control#8221; I understand to be a form of torque and have you compared the hydraulic on the xDrive version to the sDrive#8217;s rack?

I would be just as interested in the as you seem to be (especially living in California), but those two features are (I have been led to believe) make the x1 a fun drive #8211; but I they can only be had with

Great review! I enjoyed that you put up a video as well. One though. I think that I why this car is $10,000 less the F31: it#8217;s based on the platform. A colleague of mine has an X1 it looks and feels exactly my E90, like a re-bodied

That#8217;s not to knock the car #8212; I think it#8217;s pretty I also applaud BMW for not throwing a well-sorted, … platform!

The generation-ness#8221; of the car is pretty clear. It the older key fob, it has a RWD platform (we that they#8217;re moving to FWD for the generation), and it uses the E90 cluster as the current 1-er coupe I think that it really is the old and not the current 1, though, that used as a basis.

Since the F30 X3#8242;s have they had to call this car an X1. my hypothesis!
