Audi S5

It doesn#039;t offer the styling of the TT, but Audi#039;s A5 is still a car and a welcome alternative to BMW#039;s Coupé. It#039;s a great tourer that#039;s capable of long distances at speed and in And in the guise of this top-of-the-range S5, it has secure handling and towering

The shortage of rear space is a big though, and this S5 is expensive. the 3.0-litre diesel costing its clear that lesser A5s be the ones to go for.

Audi’s coupé is back! Not since the S2 the line-up in 1996 has the German offered a rival for BMW’s Coupé. But now, the firm has given its popular TT a big brother and it’s hoping for similar success.

Called the A5, the newcomer is with a stylish body, a platform and, according to one of its sportiest chassis ever. A of petrol and diesel models before the end of the year, but from two quattro four-wheel-drive versions be available.

And to show how aggressive Audi is with the new model, it’s the high-performance S5 variant first, as as a 3.0-litre TDI diesel. The S5 is aimed at brilliant 335Ci flagship can it set the standard for the rest of the range?

by the Nuvolari concept from the Geneva Motor Show, the A5 has penned by VW Group design Walter de’Silva, who claims the most beautiful car he’s produced. We wouldn’t go quite far, but it does stand

The front gets Audi’s grille and bold headlights, the is wide and purposeful, while the of any overhangs gives athletic But the curved front wings are at with the many straight and the A5 isn’t as cohesive as the TT.

This S5 looks muscular, with its subtle but aggressive LED daytime running lights the same as those seen on R8 supercar – discreet spoiler and chrome quad tips.

The cabin is typically Everything you touch in the A5 feels while a handy new keyless – which plugs into the facia – to the sense of quality. There’s an driving position as well, and the shoulder lines mean the car wrapped around you.

despite a body length of 4.6 the A5 isn’t particularly spacious. passenger legroom is very with only children to fit in the sculpted chairs.

But at least the has a 455-litre capacity, and the rear split and fold to increase further. Under the skin, the A5 an all-new platform which some of its architecture from the A4. a load of tosh. I was almost put off from my A5 to the S5 because of the sharp feedback all reviewers seem to on.

The answer is simple. the people who driven and reviewed these are NOT day Audi owners and drivers, so do not how to treat a fly by wire system Anyone who DOES know how ALL of the new cars are would know you dont just punch the but instead leave the car to do its work, the way it knows how.

As usual the is by far superior to many cars on the with no attention to detail with the subtle exterior on to the base A5 model, givin big brother its I mean business in an way on this car can achieve. I have stopped so many times by in car parks, to comment on such a car I have lost count more excuse to keep Add the … V8 burn down the rumble (not the BMW hole in the sound), and the package is complete.

In conclusion, forgetting the 17mpg I still cant understand why car did not sell in far greater numbers. The fact is Audi UK got it wrong. did not enough space on the line for cars so lots of people in a line waiting 4-5 months for a new Put that with the somewhat pricing of all those interior and I guess you have the answer.

No for me and I would advise anyone an S5 – Be patient, its worth the OH and ignor the so called expert
