i a 146 ti.

i want to make it go faster.

can u some effective tips.

if u any details about the engine. is all i have:

front transverse 4 engine,

16 valve,twin spark(8 plugs),

1970 cc,0-100 kmh in 8.5

150 bhp,187 n-m,

DOHC+toothed belt,elec. variable timing,

bosch motronic M MPI electronic ignition integrated ignition

I in the US and have never seen an 146. I’m familiar the car from articles and pictures.

I to tell you that 150hp 2 Liters is very respectable.

installing a Turbo or Super there is little you can do. Compression wouldn’t be a good idea you might not be able to find to burn. The Bosch Motronic is a good EFI/Ignition system, so isn’t much improvement to there (with the exception of I describe below) The exhaust is probably as good as you are going to get and sure transmission gears be very expensive.

The only other places to performance would be with that open the valves and for a longer time and enlarging or valves to let more fuel/air mix the engine.

One thing you might want to try is to a variable resistor into the to the sensor for the water temperature. The system uses a thermal in the coolant to tell the ECU when the is hot or cold.

When you first the car and the coolant is cold, the ECU richens the for easier and smoother operation cold. As the coolant gets the ECU gradually leans out the mixture for economy and fewer emmisions. The with this, is that the the engine gets, the leaner it and the leaner it runs, the hotter it

One way to find a few horsepower, is to fool the ECU thinking the engine is cold and it fatten the mixture for more

A variable resistor (potentiometer) a value of about 300 ohms, in series with either of the going to this sensor allow you to adjust the mixture the driver’s seat. You can mount the anywhere you like. When you add after warm up, you will the engine become richer.

If you go too far, it will start to and burble from too much

We use this in our race cars and I one in my GTV6. It won’t help fuel economy, but on cool dry I can feel the difference.

Also, you can search for a free air filter. Nearly ALL Alfas restrictive paper filters. I know where you are, so I recommend a particular brand.

If you to pull the engine apart for I can give you some ideas but it be expensive and a lot of work.
