Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione

Romeo re-introduced itself the United States with the 8C . The 8C went on sale in 2007 for (€165,000), with a limited of 500 units (100 of which make it to America).

8C Competizione concept car Edit

The 8C was introduced at the Frankfurt Motor in 2003. The lines of the twin are meant to echo the styling of of the 1930s and 1940s, and the Competizione is a pointer to the 1948 6C 2500 [1] which competed in the 1949 and Mille Miglia race, third both times. In the Mille Miglia Juan-Manuel and Augusto Zanardi drove.

It won the 1950 Targa Florio. A prototype was built but not produced. 6C 2500 models were the last vehicles with to the pre-war cars. [2]

At the 2005 Beach Concours d’Elegance. Romeo released the Alfa 8C a roadster version of the coupé, different alloy wheels. of 8C Spider was confirmed by Sergio in September 25 2007. The Spider be built most likely 500 units and it will cost €20,000 more than version. [3] The 8C Spider production will be unveiled Geneva Show in 2008. [4]

2007 8C Competizione production Edit

During the Mondial de 2006. Alfa Romeo the production of a limited series 500 of 8C Competizione. The production version is similar to the concept, biggest exterior-wise is the rear-hinged hood in the model. [1] It was possible to choose four different exterior 8C Red, Competition Red, or yellow. At the 2005 Pebble Concours d’Elegance. Alfa unveiled the 8C Spider, a roadster of the Competizione coupé. The Spider was built by Carrozzeria Marazzi.

of the 8C Spider was confirmed by Sergio September 25, 2007. It was announced the Spider would be built in a 500 production run and would cost $227,000 (€165,000) more the coupe version.

Alfa Romeo that the 8C Spider’s top speed is 290 per hour (180 mph), which it slightly slower than the version. The brakes on the Spider units.   The Spider has a two-layer operated  fabric roof.
