This dual headrest Rear Seat Entertainment System lets your rear passengers watch movies, play video games and even listen to music. Featuring two seven-inch LCD Touch Screen Display monitors with integrated DVD players, the system is compatible with the Active Headrest Safety System. A fit kit is used to mount the docking stations on the top of the driver’s and passenger’s front seats just below the headrest.

Each monitor can operate independently to allow for separate video or video game use and includes a pair of infrared wireless headphones1 with two user selectable channels (A and B) that offer superior stereo sound quality. Both monitors also feature RCA A/V jacks for connecting external inputs such as video game systems or digital cameras.

The Pre-Collision System is designed to help reduce the crash speed and damage in certain frontal collisions only. They are not collision-avoidance systems and are not substitutes for safe and attentive driving. System effectiveness depends on many factors such as speed, driver input and road conditions.

All Wheel Drive Available on Sienna

Published: October 29, 2013

When purchasing your all new Toyota Sienna near Hazelwood. you have to decide if you want to go with all-wheel drive or front wheel drive. Obviously price comes into play with this decision, but so do safety concerns.  Let’s take a look at the advantages to both and then you can make the best decision for yourself.

Most cars today are either FWD or AWD.  And many of the higher end lines of models are offering AWD as an added feature. Here in the Midwest where weather changes on a dime the need for AWD seems legit, but FWD work just fine in the snow as long as you know how to drive in it.

So why spend the money on AWD?

The all-new 2014 Toyota Sienna is available in both.  It is the only minivan on the market to offer AWD.  The main concern with AWD is how it will affect the tires and fuel economy.  With all wheel drive cars, fuel economy is less.

The standard front wheel drive car will get an average of 2 to 3 more miles per gallon.

Also as I have learned the hard way, if you blow a tire or have one that cannot be fixed, you must replace all the, tires on an all-wheel drive car.  This is not very economical. Your van also has to be trailered.  It cannot be towed.

Front wheel drive Sienna’s may not have the extreme traction but are still excellent performers in winter.  This is not your mother’s rear wheel drive minivan of the past.

I like the option of AWD.  It allows me to drive a vehicle with 8 passenger seating, but still gets better fuel economy than a large SUV. It makes me feel safer in the winter time.

AWD is available on LE, XLE and Limited models.

The Toyota Sienna, a Minivan that is Not Your Mother#8217;s Minivan

Published: October 19, 2013

When I was pregnant with our second child, many asked when we would be trading in our compact for a minivan.  The thought of owning a minivan actually scared me.  My mom had driven a minivan when I was a kid.  I was way too hip to be driving one of those.

So I like many other families, we opted to purchase a big ole gas guzzling SUV with third row seating.  We turned our noses up at the minivan.

I did however have several friends who looked to the minivan as a better option.  They were clearly wiser in the understanding that comfort is more important than a popular trend. The farther I advanced into parenthood the more clear this became to me.

Plus kids are expensive and as is gas, so why not go with a more economical car with great gas mileage and space.

We purchased our first Toyota Sienna near Ballwin in 2011. The Toyota dealership had many models to choose from both new and certified pre-owned. We went with the new LE. That summer we drove to Florida to Disney.

We folded down the third row to fit all of our luggage and coolers. It is amazing how much one family can take on vacation.  The Sienna preformed great through the mountains and was extremely comfortable during the two day drive.

The 2014 Toyota Sienna looks very appealing to this momma. With its beautiful styling and sporty look. This is a van that can function as a taxi and still be the envy of all of your friends. The available Display Navigation 8 with Entune App Suite 9 allows hands-free phone calls and streaming music from your compatible phone or portable device using Bluetooth wireless technology.

This momma rocks out to her SiriusXM satellite radio on JBL audio speakers while waiting in the parent drop off/ pick up line. No this is definitely not your mother’s minivan.

Toyota#8217;s Swaggin Wagon

Published: October 9, 2013

The purchase of a minivan often called a coffin on wheels because it is the killer of your singleness and youth. It’s like there is an invisible flashing light saying “yep I have a family and possibly a large one.” You don’t even need those little family stickers on your back window, but most of us still get them anyway.  I have the four very cute St.

Louis Cardinals fans on my back window.

But once you test drive the right make and model at your St. Louis Toyota Sienna dealer. you realize that this is no minivan.

This is a Swagger Wagon, the 2014 Toyota Sienna. The top of the line SE comes with amazing options like 19 in alloy wheels and three climate zone controls.

Seating for eight is standard.  Yes this car can fit all your kids and the parents too. Leather seating is an option that I highly encourage with kids.  Leather wipes off so much easier.  And let’s be honest they are going to wipe all kinds of crap on your seats.

The cloth seats are made with easy cleaning durable fabric if you do choose to go that route. Power tilt slide moonroof is also available for those of you who enjoy the feel of the windows down without having a child hanging out it or throwing something out of it.

The engine is a 3.5-liter V6n and 266 horsepower with 245 lb-ft of torque with a 4 cylinder available on other models. This gives the Sienna a fuel economy of 18 city mpg and 25 hwy mpg. Front wheel drive is standard but all wheel drive is available.

Technology is shown off on the new 2014 Sienna LE with available with a 6.1 inch high resolution touch screen with split screen for back up camera, music, radio, and Display navigation 7 with Entune App Suite.  There is also a USB port with iPod 5 connectivity.  Bluetooth connectivity with voice recognition allows you to control all of this with only using your voice.  It also connects to your phone.

With all these available options, this truly is the Swaggin Wagon.
