2013 Renault Fluence spied; launch around the corner!

It#8217;s been quite a while since Renault launched a new car in India, let#8217;s clearly say, more than a year. Renault Duster was the most recent launch by Renault, in last July last year. Well, Renault Duster was the car that changed the game of Renault in India, that the brand Renault, not only started making good sales figures, but became a market leader in Urban SUV segment with it#8217;s huge success.

Seems like Renault is about to make one more bash in India with it#8217;s 2013 Renault Fluence. The segment already heating up with Hyundai Elantra, VW Jetta and the upcoming Skoda Laura, the time seems perfect to debut the new Renault Fluence.

Renault has apparently started operations gearing up for the 2013 Renault Fluence launch in India, as we can see in the picture, a few initial test car units have already been imported to India at Renault#8217;s facility in Chennai and the buzz around is that Renault India has begin with testing and homologation now. Also, this is a global product and so there won#8217;t be much tweaking needed to the car, which makes the path for launch very near.

Even though the current Renault Fluence hasn#8217;t been a big success in India, Renault India has had highly satisfied and admiring customers with the quality and engineering of the vehicle. The 2013 Renault Fluence is all about to change the game for the win though. The all new exterior designing is very much inspired from the latest Renault  family platform, adapted from the Renault Zoe.

The striky, edgy curves in exterior body and head-lights make the front-fascia distinguishably appealing and Renault has left no chance this time for you to call the Fluence boring or dull. The elegant, big one-piece bumper, new day-time running LED fog-lights, bigger Renault chrome logo on the new glossy-black sharp strip with the grille and the new 3-part split air-dam add to the some more bold looks in the new Fluence. One more sporty exterior change is that the 2013 Renault Fluence sports all-new 10-spoke alloy wheels.

Now coming to the interiors, the major changes include new upholstery options, front and rear parking sensors, an automatic parking brake as well as better USB, Bluetooth and auxiliary input connectivity and standard LCD display for the driver across all-variants.

There are no clues about the under-the-hood details as of now. As of now, Renault has 1.5L dCi diesel engine with 110PS power output and 2.0L inline-4 petrol engine with 137PS power output engines in the Renault Fluence in India. Renault also offers 6-speed CVT gearbox on the petrol variant, diesel variant enthusiasts have been demanding for; let#8217;s wait and watch if Renault mates the CVT on the diesel engine too this time.

Globally, the Renualt Fluence 1.5L dCi (110PS variant) is also available with, six-speed dual clutch transmission automatic gearbox entitled Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC). This EDC gearbox has mileage figures very close to the manual gearbox offered on the current Renault Fluence E2/E4 dCi in India.

The 2013 Renault Fluence does look very promising and it seems like Renault India will make another big milestone in the India with the launch of 2013 Renault Fluence just like it did with the Duster.
