Renault Megane is a third-generation car that had become an excellent choice for those who want a car for their families. The car is considered to be the best to accommodate a small family comfortably while giving pleasurable ride to each one of the traveler. The car is very flexible and has been designed to challenge its rivals Ford Focus as well as Volkswagen Golf. The 2012 Renault Megane has received a big improvement in terms of quality when compared with the previous models.

All the Megane trims provide relatively efficient engines with better MPG rating, ensuring best balance between economy and performance. The 1.4 TCe turbo engine (petrol) delivers 44.8 mpg and churns out 145 grams per kilometer, whereas; the 1.9 litre dCi engine (diesel) delivers 55.4 mpg and 135 grams per kilometer. The car has been tweaked with special ECO versions that drop the carbon dioxide further to around 106 grams per kilometer.

Unlike other challenging cars, the Megane enables the owners to flip the seats of the rear seats while making things comfortable for the passengers. After folding the rear seat, you get 1,129 litre of flat area for luggage. After putting the seats up, the boot space gets retracted to 372 litres which is slightly short as compared to its rival Volkswagen Golf.

For convenience, Renault has added a tiny glovebox where a single small cupholder can be found at the centre console, but obstructs the stereo controls of the car. For rear seat passengers, the space can be a problem, especially for taller passengers who have to manage with tight legroom and headroom.
