EXECUTIVE EDITOR HART: This 2012 XJ is exactly what a flagship be: graceful, elegant, powerful and a lot of fun to The interior is simply beautiful and comfortable. The wood trim wraps completely around the top of the dash and down the door is a wonderful touch, as are the round air that jut up from the dash.

The interface is better here in other Jag examples, but it#8217;s not the best way to handle such I hate to say it but BMW#8217;s iDrive or MMI is a significantly better way to navigate page after page of info in a car. I like the screen on a phone or iPad your finger works great.

Inside, all is proper British beauty, with wide of wood trim wrapping the doors and around the front lots of bling and chrome, and stitching and leather to support a saddlery. It might seem but the trim all blends well the LCD instruments and central touch I#8217;d probably take a less bright chrome on the console, if for no other reason it is brutally reflective in bright sunshine.

Power is from this naturally V8 and everything seems buttery as expected, except for the tautness of the on patchy pavement. I blame on the big wheels and tires–the car seems more well-mannered in normal But once you get used to it, and then up Dynamic Handling and the manual-gear the car becomes much more a four-door version of its XK sibling a stodgy old Jag sedan.
