The optional equipments for the Mercedes SL-Class models include active cruise control for all the models. All the models of 2011 Mercedes-Benz SL are rear wheel drive. Powering the 2011 Mercedes-Benz SL550 and its special SL550 Night Edition is a 5.5-liter V8 engine, capable of churning maximum power of 382 hp and 391 pound-feet of maximum torque. The engine here is mated with a seven-speed automatic transmission.

The estimated sprint time for Mercedes SL is of 0 to 60-mph in 5.3 seconds.

The SL63 AMG is powered by a bigger and powerful 6.2-liter V8 engine, thumping maximum power of 518 hp and maximum torque of 465 lb-ft of torque. The transmission here is Mercedes #8216; Speedshift MCT seven-speed automated-clutch manual transmission. It sprinted from 0 to 60 mph in an impressive 4.6 seconds.

The SL65 AMG is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 engine cranking maximum power of 604 hp and 738 lb-ft of maximum torque. The V12 here is mated with five-speed automatic transmission, which sends the earth-rumbling power to its rear wheels. The SL65 AMG sprinted from 0 to 60 in an estimated 4.2 seconds.
