2011 Jaguar XK-Series

In honor of Jaguar’s 75th the company has worked up a limited run of XKR dubbed XKR175. The 175 stands for the total production — that Canada gets 15, but maybe Canada doesn’t What the 175 should stand for is the top speed. The standard XKR is electronically to 155 mph, but the XKR175 raises speed limit all the way to.

Top speed, unfortunately, is a largely exercise in the USA anyway. At least it was in California and environs during the Monterey Historics Weekend, we had a chance to get behind the wheel. If the package isn’t terribly the XKR itself certainly is. Still, the XK, and particularly the XKR, is a serious sports GT car than its suggests. With its black more aggressive aerodynamic and distinctive wheels, the XKR175 which is available only as a — better represents the within.

The extra top speed make a better bragging if it weren’t 1 mph shy of the car’s name, but exclusivity alone is reason to make buyers pony up the $8500 over a standard
