Today on our 2006 Chevrolet Uplander well be installing the Derale transmission cooler kit with barbed inlets part number d13502. Well begin the installation by removing the under carriage air dam. There are four bolts holding it on. After removing it well undo the clips holding the wiring harness here to move it out of the way. You can then see the two transmission oil cooler lines running on the inside of the radiator.

Well now move underneath the hood here on top.

Today we are going to install part number 13344 on our Chevrolet Uplander. All right, the first thing we need to do is go ahead and lower the exhaust and temporarily remove this body bracket here. At this point we can go ahead and hang the hitch on the vehicle and snug it down to the frame because we have to use the hitch as a template to drill the rest of the holes in the frame.

All right, with the hitch in place we will go ahead and drill a pilot hole, and the other holes we have to drill out in the frame will be right here. We will do one on each side toward the rear of the vehicle. And on some models you do not have to drill out back here, but on this model we actually have a hole that lines up with the body mount – no, the body bracket – so we will just go ahead and use that one.

The next thing we do is install a handle nut that goes into the side of the frame here. We will bring it to the direction we need to match it to the hole right here. And repeat for the other side.

First well open up the rear door and start disassembling the tail lights and take them off the body. Well go ahead and take off one of the tail lights here. There are two torque bolts that need to be taken out and light pops off from the housing. Okay the lights are off so now its time to start installing the wire.

What well do is push the four pole through the cavity between the bumper and the body and out the bottom plus the end for the passengers side too. Well leave the end for the drivers side tail light up in the air, well make the connections with the harness and the tail light. With the drivers side tail light re-installed, pull out all your slack on your line here, what well do next is thread it through behind these bumper brackets.

Well go across all four of them, what well do is take some extra zip ties and tie it to that so they wont be dangling and in the way. Now that we have gotten to the other side of the vehicle, well take our T-1 connector passenger side end and push it up the pocket and pull it out the other side. Now well pull the harness out of the cavity and go ahead and make our connections.

While were at it well take up a little bit of slack by using the zip tie to tie the wire to itself. While were her well install our ground wire. Now we re-install our passenger light.

To install the Hidden Hitch # 87410 on your 2006 Chevy Uplander with the load leveling compressor it will require a few more steps but it would not be anything too difficult. You will need to lower the compressor by removing 1 M10 bolt and 2 M6 nuts. You might need to trim the vertical tab on the compressor bracket so that it will clear the adjacent M10 bolt also.

I attached installation instructions for you to check out also and an installation video for this product. We do not have one that

I checked with Surco and the Safari Rack 5.0 Rooftop Cargo Basket, # SPS5060-1101, is listed as a fit to the factory roof rack (side rails that run front to back) on a 2006 Chevy Uplander This carrier also has quite a few add-ons that you could get separately including an axe and shovel carrier, # SPAX100, light mounting brackets, # SPLT100, and a spare tire carrier, # SPST100.

I spoke with my contact at CR Brophy and the Trailer D-Ring Tie Down, Recessed 5K, item # RR05, is Zinc plated to resist rust and corrosion. I also inquired about the backing plate, item # BP05, for the D-Ring tie downs and it is also Zinc plated.

To install a brake controller on your 2005 Chevy Uplander, you will need three things. First, a brake controller. I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, # 90885. It is one of the more popular brake controllers because it is easy to use and install.

I have included a link to the installation details below. Next, you will need to install a 4-Way trailer wiring harness. You will need Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, # 118396. This is a T-One style harness that plugs in line with your vehicles

I’ve done some research, and have found that yes, you would want to connect to that white wire coming out of Connector 2, Pin 30. This wire is located in the Body Control Module, which is located above where your left knee would be as you are sitting at the wheel. Use a circuit tester, such as part # 40376 to verify that this white wire goes hot only when the brake pedal is pressed.
