The Seville was introduced in May of 1975 as a 1976 model. it continued until 1978. The new Cadillac was considered a masterpiece in design and engineering. It retained the Cadillac feel on the road but without the bulk.

The handing and braking were exceptional. It looked like a Cadillac because of its design but it had a sleekness and tidiness which was very European. As one Cadillac developer stated, This car has to ooze opulence. And it did. The interior was an incredible combination of leather and wood.

There were no options other than choices of radio and sun roof. All of the modern luxury appointments were included. The price was a hefty $12,479 which made the Seville the most expensive Cadillac that year.

The Seville was the first Cadillac ever reviewed by Road Track magazine. Their reaction was one of surprise and pleasure at the quality and handling of the new Caddy. It was compared favorably to Mercedes Benz.

In Britain, a journalist wondered if the Rolls-Royce was actually worth the £7,000 premium over the Seville, which was quieter, smoother and better-handling than the Silver Shadow.

This 57000 actual mile Seville is an incredible car still today. The interior is like new. It is 100% original with no tares or cracks in the leather seating or dash. The wood trim is perfect.

All gauges, features and lights work as they should. It is loaded with features just as Cadillac intended and yes, they ALL work. Power windows, power steering, power brakes, 8 way power seats, climate control air conditioning, AM-FM stereo with power antenna, 3 speed intermittent wipers, auto dimming headlights, automatic trunk release, cruise control, tilt telescopic steering wheel, rear window defogger, power door locks, power window locks, dual remote mirrors and more.

Cadillac Seville

When you get in, start the car and get to driving; that is when you know you are in a Cadillac. Super smooth, dead silent and steady as she goes She starts instantly and stops perfectly. There are NO squeaks, rattles or any strange noises. The ride is just beautiful.

It is powered by her factory original 57000 mile Oldsmobile 350ci electronic fuel injected engine.

If there is a negative to this car, it would be in the paint finish. The body is 100% rust free as it always has been. Body panels are straight. Chrome and trim shine beautifully. The paint was redone a few years ago.

It does shine nicely and while the car looks beautiful from 5 feet away, you can see some flaws upon closer inspection. The previous owner chose not to replace the original paint with a nice professional repaint. While it shines nicely, you can see some paint smears in a few spots and some sloppy paint work around the rear window. All flaws are shown in the photos. The vinyl top is in excellent condition and has no flaws at all.

Again, its the paint work that is lacking.

This car is a nice paint job away from being an absolutely beautiful, near perfect car. Until then, this is an excellent driver quality car that wont break the bank and can be left alone and enjoyed as is.
